Exceptional, August 1, 2013 |
Reviewer: Leanne |
I found this DVD exceptional in explaining and demonstrating canine body language. Sarah did an amazing job in providing detailed images, videos and explanations on various body languages you would see on a day to day basis when working with dogs. I especially liked the fact that she used various dogs in various stages of stress, calm, and reactiveness and reviewed in detail what to look for and the way she explained the difference between analyzing a dog’s behaviour based on the situation(s) the dog(s) are placed in (i.e. stress) vs. everyday language you would typically see and wouldn’t think twice about when approaching dog(s)!
I would recommend this DVD to anyone who has a dog and/or works with dogs in any situation!!! |

Clear and informative, March 27, 2013 |
Reviewer: Chiara Perri |
I found this DVD to be fabulous in that there are real live clips of dogs doing their stuff and seeing it play out is much clearer than pictures. Hearing the explanations for the behaviours was also helpful as some can be confusing and there were some I was not even aware of. I would highly recommend this DVD to anyone wanting to get into the dog training and behaviour industry and even for someone running a day care centre. Being pre-emptive seems to make all the difference and once you have an understanding of their language, it makes everything a lot clearer. Thank you. |

Awesome!, January 30, 2013 |
Reviewer: Lynn Broderick |
This is one of my most valuable dvd's! Sarah and company did a fantastic job putting together video with lots and lots of examples of dog body language! Very thorough coverage of the signs of stress, warning signs of increasing arousal (which can lead to aggression) and Sarah explains them all so clearly. Chapters make it easy to find and play the behavior you're looking for if you don't want to watch it all the way through.
I have used this and 'Am I Safe?' for group presentations and with private clients and it's gratifying to hear comments later about how the participants now SEE the behaviors when they observe dogs, and feel like they can interpret what the dogs are feeling so much better. Highly recommended! |
