Awesome, February 5, 2010 |
Reviewer: Raymond Fowler |
I enyoyed this DVD better than Silverston DVD because the step by step method that Mrs.Gunn demestrates is a more clear way to teach your dog the drills needed for competitive obedience. After veiwing her DVD, I now have a clear understanding of how to develop focus heeling. In addition, the section on condition jumping was instrumental for helping me understand how to teach Zeus the exercises needed for Open and Utility. |

I strongly recommend Janice Gunn’s DVDs. We at Columbia Dog Training hosted one of Janice’s workshops.
Everyone who attended had a great time and enjoyed learning from Janice. I also drove to Spokane to participate in a workshop, as I felt I missed so much information being in the kitchen at our seminar.
Her DVDs present careful step by step information to help the dog trainer achieve a wonderful, happy, working partnership with their dog. |

Janice has a very positive way of explaining how to teach exercises that make it very easy to understand. Having seen her show several different dogs with several different personalities, each to numerous High in Trials, prove her methods on these DVD's are very successful. Whether teaching a puppy or retraining an older dog, these DVD's are worth their weight in gold. |

Thoroughly Fun!, March 8, 2010 |
Reviewer: Kris Garra |
Janice does a fantastic job making the fundamentals and intricate specifics in obedience fun for the dog and the handler. A breakdown of the behaviors/tasks/fundamentals provides a wonderful set of tools for every trainer to pull from to ensure success! My five dogs and I thoroughly enjoy these DVD’s and are having lots of fun working through them! |

I have purchased many training books and videos and few can compare with this one for the amount and quality of information conveyed. Janice's techniques were a revelation for me, this video is as much fun to watch as it is to train by. At about the point where I was asking myself 'wow,Raisin is terrific, I wonder how long it took to train her' the DVD breaks to show footage of her doing almost the same work...at 8 weeks! If anyone needs convincing of how good the methods shown on this DVD are, they only need to see that short clip of an eight week old puppy heeling like she's ready for Novice. I recommend this for every dog owner, not just those who are serious about competition Obedience. |

Make It Happen, May 21, 2013 |
Reviewer: Ronald Seeley |
We recently purchased a copy of Janice Gunn’s Step by Step Training DVD set covering obedience training from Puppy through Utility. It is the most informative DVD that we have ever watched. We can now have Janice right in our Living Room as a constant reminder while she guides us through all of her training techniques. We strongly recommend this DVD set as a MUST HAVE for all competitive dog owners that wish to maintain that 'Up Attitude' from their own dogs. Janice will guide you through her techniques to help you “Make it Happen”. Janice, we want to thank you for taking the time to share with everyone your motivating and innovative tips.

Great Info, Terrible Sound Quality, June 22, 2010 |
Reviewer: PS |
While the information in this DVD set is top notch, I think the sound quality of the DVD is terrible. Janice is giving a seminar and the speech has an echo quality to it. Perhaps it is the building or her microphone unit, but I expected better from a DVD set that cost $110.00.
I tried it on several TVs, computer, and portable DVD player with headphones and it is still poor sound quality. |

Good Info, Terrible Sound Quality, July 9, 2011 |
Reviewer: Patti E |
While the information is good, the sound is absolutely terrible. I had the volume turned up all the way and still found myself rewinding several times in order to hear what she was saying. For the price, one would expect much better sound quality. |
