Purely Positive Help, July 11, 2011 |
Reviewer: Millie Santandreu |
I greatly enjoyed reading this book. It helped me understanding what seems to be known by more experienced trainers. Our dogs respond very well to the purely positive training methods in this book.
I highly recommend it to a newbie or a not so newbie trainer. There is nothing like a happy dog willing and wanting to learn. |

Reviewer: Stevie Mathre |
Sheila’s excellent at explaining what positive reinforcement training is all about. The most valuable aspects of this book for me were the first chapters talking about the principles of training. There’s a great description of the Premack Principle.
I read it whenever I get discouraged about positive training. |

Pawsitively Delightful, May 4, 2006 |
Reviewer: Sophia |
Finally, a book that proves that competition behaviors can be taught positively and still effectively. This book is very thorough and although it uses technical terminology at times, the author makes sure that the terms are well explained, so that even a beginning trainer can benefit. If you like this one, you'll also love 'Schutzhund Obedience: Training in Drive'. |
