Serious stuff!, September 23, 2014 |
Reviewer: Cricket Mara |
This could be a college text on behavior. It's not an easy read and I suggest newbies read something like Excel-Erated Learning by Pamela Reid before tackling this one, but for serious trainers and behavior students, this will be a reference bible. More examples would have made this a more user-friendly text. |

Bow WOW!, June 23, 2014 |
Reviewer: Sonya Bevan |
Do you crave to understand how dogs learn and prefer to avoid the latest fads or gimmicks in training? Are you interested in the science behind behaviour? Are you ready for something that is not light and fluffy but precise, systematic and, dare I say, even a little heavy going at times? Looking for something that will make you a better teacher for your dog? Are ethics just as important (or even more important) to you as the final results of teaching? Then this instructional book should be right up your alley. I've completed James O'Heare's in depth course in Canine Behaviour Science and Technology - this book is a summary of much of what I learnt PLUS more. I'll be reading it more than once. |

Great strike!!, June 16, 2014 |
Reviewer: Alexander J. Probst |
Dear James, one great strike again!!!
Your new book is to be read by every one who wants to work with dogs and humans!
It is hard to read - but every word, every sentence is so impressing that it stays in ones brain forever. This is the book I would wish to read for all the 'dogwhisperers' *LOL* in TV...
I hope there will be once in my life the possibility to get a personally dedication from you into my book. Best wishes and many thanks Alexander J. |
