Expanded Description:
"101 Dog Tricks" is the largest trick book on the market and the only one presenting full-color photos of each trick and its training steps. The step-by-step approach, difficulty rating, and prerequisites, allow readers to start training immediately. Tips, and trouble-shooting boxes cover common problems, while "build-on" ideas suggest more complicated tricks which build on each new skill. No special tools (such as clickers) or knowledge of specific training methods are required. Featuring step-by-step photos of every trick in the book.
Trick training is a great way to bond with your dog and help him integrate into your family. It keeps him mentally and physically challenged and helps to establish paths of communication between you. Many tricks build skills needed for common dog sports, dog dancing, and dog therapy work.

I don't regret owning it, November 17, 2012 |
Reviewer: Martha Gonzalez |
But I don't exactly jump up and down that it's on my shelf. I like the book alot actually. It has some great step-by steps for neat tricks. The reason why I'm not particularly enthusiastic for this book is because I could find a whole lot of these trick tutorials and more unique tricks online now. Simply put, what's in this book isn't scarce information. |

I love the ideas in this book to teach dog tricks. The beautiful pictures and step by step instructions are what made me buy it in the first place. |

Bond with your dog, November 8, 2010 |
Reviewer: Z. Jacobs |
The loads of color photos is great, unlike other books that poorly describe with little black and white pictures, if any pictures at all. What I love about this book is it provides loads of ideas of things to teach you dog to do that never occurred to me. I did teach the bow, but not with her method. Using her method I did have success teaching the cups game. It would have been nice if there were more tricks to do without so many elaborate items, like a children's basketball hoop. But I do think the book is great as a reference or introduction to get people thinking about all the things they can teach their dog, and learn some new things as well. |
